Theo Henrar is a seasoned leader in the technological and economic sectors, currently serving as Voorzitter at FME, which promotes collaboration within the technological industry for a sustainable future. Additionally, Theo holds the position of Voorzitter at Smart Industry, driving adoption of smart technology and digitalization among businesses. Theo has been an active member of the Dagelijks Bestuur and Algemeen Bestuur of VNO-NCW since 2010, advocating for the interests of the Dutch business community at national and international levels. In various capacities, Theo contributes to several organizations, including the Sociaal-Economische Raad, German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce, NLinBusiness, Platform Defensie Bedrijfsleven, and the Cyber Security Raad. As Voorzitter of Heliomare and the Raad van Commissarissen at Zeehaven IJmuiden NV, Theo also focuses on social responsibility and the development of future-proof infrastructure. Education includes a degree from Leiden University, obtained between 1978 and 1985.
