Xiaoxiang (Sean) Liu is a seasoned professional in the field of intellectual property law and science. Currently serving as a Shareholder at Nixon & Vanderhye P.C. since March 2019, Liu previously held positions as Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice at Rubin and Rudman LLP from July 2016 to March 2019 and as an Associate at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox from September 2011 to June 2016. Liu's scientific background includes roles as Associate Principal Scientist at Merck and Senior Scientist I at Wyeth, spanning from September 2005 to August 2005. Liu holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, a Postdoctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
