Luisa Hosse is a Natural Hazards Risk Scientist at NIWA since February 2023, with previous experience as a Research Associate at Fraunhofer IOSB and various roles at Modis Deutschland, where Luisa served as both a GIS Engineer and Jr GIS Engineer. Luisa's academic background includes a Master's degree in Geosciences from the University of Potsdam, with a focus on landslide-generated tsunamis, and extensive research experience, including internships at Tokyo University of Science and GFZ-Potsdam, the latter resulting in a publication in the European Journal of Mineralogy. Luisa has also held positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Potsdam and as a Student Assistant, providing technical support in computer labs.
