Head of Marketing 

Location:New York City: (Hybrid Role 4 Days in Office) 

Role Overview: 

Ninth Wave is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead the development and execution of our B2B marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, generate leads and drive sales decision makers in target organizations. The individual in this role will be responsible for creating market-specific content to increase prospective client engagement, managing social presence, analyzing data, generate new leads for the sales funnel, support the sales process, and establish Company as an industry leader in cloud-based platform technology. The ideal candidate will operate in a fast-growing and highly entrepreneurial environment, who can work directly with our leadership team to carry out various programs and campaigns aimed at building awareness, generating leads, and supporting the sales team. To succeed in this role the candidate in this role would need to exhibit a balance between being detail oriented and strategic big picture thinker. This role will report to the CRO.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to increase brand awareness and drive leads

  • Create and manage marketing materials, including collateral, emails and other campaign content, newsletters, and sales decks

  • Implement and oversee demand generation programs to help grow the sales funnel

  • Manage and grow our social media presence and outreach across multiple platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter)

  • Analyze data to measure the success of marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement

  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to ensure messaging and positioning align with target audience

  • Manage and optimize our website SEO efforts

  • Work with our third-party firm to oversee SEO/SEM efforts

  • Identify and leverage PR opportunities

  • Manage our presence at conferences and events

  • 10+ years’ experience in content and/or growth marketing roles, business-to-business; account-based marketing experience a plus

  • Developing domain-expert content in the form of case studies, sales support materials, press releases, website landing pages, email messaging and more

  • Experience in financial technology and/or financial markets

  • Advanced writing skills, and experience in content management for multiple channels (Media, Events, Online, Direct Marketing and Partner Relations) to reach the target audience and facilitate sales opportunities

  • Developing and advancing brand credibility through speaking opportunities, media relations, award nominations, white paper development, article placement and more

  • Promoting company and products at thought leadership events and conferences, including planning and executing pre- and post-event activities

  • Tracking and managing events to ensure cost effectiveness and continuous improvement

  • Organizing webinars to facilitate brand awareness and demand generation.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, product, and developer teams to articulate and implement a marketing strategy that suits Company’s needs and budget

  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and reporting key metrics

  • Experience managing a marketing budget

  

  • Previous experience working with developer, infrastructure, or cloud technologies

  • Creative experience (video, graphics, etc.)

  • Experience creating and running A/B and CRO tests on content engagement, including sharing recommendation of data-driven changes

  • Practical understanding of the APIs for Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AdWords, Twitter and LinkedIn Marketing preferred

  • Experience with marketing automation software platforms like Pardot, Hubspot, AutoPilot, etc.

  • Content ideation and trend identification tools, e.g., Buzzsumo, Google Trends, Mention, Brand24, etc.

  • Website and analytics platforms

  • Marketing data integration, visualization and reporting platforms

  • Native content platforms
