Megan Byrd is an experienced educator specializing in visual impairment and mobility, currently serving as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Mobility Specialist at Niles Township District for Special Education since August 2018. Previous roles include TVI/O&M at Northwestern Illinois Association and clinical teaching experience at SASED. Megan also has a background in coaching, having served as a Swim Coach for Cary Barracuda Swim Team and as an Assistant Swim and Dive Coach at Carroll University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Orientation and Mobility Specialist from Northern Illinois University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Carroll University.
