Javier Silva is a Cryptography Researcher currently working at =nil; Foundation, focusing on improvements to proof systems and their applications in scalable decentralized networks. Previously, Javier contributed to the development of cryptographic protocols for an anonymous blockchain network at Dusk, and served as an Adjunct Professor and Researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where work involved zero-knowledge proofs and isogeny-based cryptography. Javier also collaborated on the design of isogeny-based cryptosystems during a visiting research period at the University of Birmingham. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Cryptography from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, an MS in Mathematics and Foundations of Computer Science from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
