Riccardo Maggiore is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Nikhef, leading the Numerical Simulations Group with a focus on advancing laser interferometry measurements and managing the Low-Frequency Control Work-Package for the European Einstein Telescope Project. Riccardo completed a PhD in Physics at Nikhef in collaboration with VU University Amsterdam and the University of Birmingham, where research emphasized numerical simulations to improve laser-interferometric precision measurements. Prior to this, Riccardo conducted doctoral studies at the University of Birmingham and spent time as a visiting researcher at the European Gravitational Observatory. Riccardo's early research experience includes a competitive summer fellowship at Caltech, concentrating on computational modeling of material properties. Riccardo holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
