Nicolas Foucart has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Nicolas is currently serving as the Managing Director NEPL at NNPC Limited. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer NEPL at the same company.
Before joining NNPC Limited, Foucart worked at Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited where they served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer. As the Chief Operations Officer, they were responsible for the safe and reliable operations of multiple assets, including drilling and projects execution, as well as decommissioning activities. Nicolas also held the role of RISE Program Director, where they focused on promoting continuous improvement and efficiency in the business. Additionally, they served as the E&P Cost Efficiency Director at Repsol.
Foucart also gained experience at Cardon IV, S.A. as the General Manager (secondee REPSOL). In this role, they were responsible for the development project of the offshore Perla Field. Nicolas successfully redefined the contracting strategy and achieved production start-up within the required timeframe.
Earlier in their career, Foucart worked at Repsol as a Director, overseeing productive assets and development projects in Colombia and Algeria. Nicolas also served as a Project and Engineering Manager and Production Engineering Manager/HSE Coordinator. Furthermore, they held the positions of Asset Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Engineer, where they were involved in various aspects of project management and operations.
Overall, Foucart has extensive experience in management, operations, project execution, and efficiency improvement in the oil and gas industry.
Nicolas Foucart completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Global Energy from the University of Warwick, from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Offshore Engineering from the University Newcastle upon Tyne during 1993-1994. Their earlier education includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Ingenieur civil) with a focus on Civil Constructions from ULB Université Libre de Bruxelles, spanning from 1988 to 1993.
