Esa Niemi is the owner of Niemi Services Ltd, a position held since 1981. Currently, they serve as the President of FIDI ADA Europe and the Head of the President's advisory board for the European Judo Union, both roles established in 2025. Esa has a history of leadership within the Finnish Judo Association, where they were President from 2012 to 2015, and as a Board Member of the Finnish Olympic Committee from 2020 to 2025. Additionally, Esa acted as a Campaign Manager during the 2015 parliamentary elections and has held the position of Commissioner with the International Judo Federation since 2015. From 2016 to 2019, they were also the Chairman of the Board for Suomen Liikemiesyhdistys.
