Tracy Fricano Chalmers has a diverse work experience in the public health sector. Tracy is currently working at the Niagara County Department of Health as the Director of Public Health Planning and Emergency Preparedness, as well as the Public Information Officer. Prior to this, they worked at the Erie County Department of Health for over two decades, holding various roles such as Project Manager for Public Health Emergency Preparedness, Project Manager for the Western New York Public Health Alliance Rural Advanced Practice Center, and Site Director for the Erie County Medical Reserve Corps. Tracy also has experience as a Research Assistant at the Research Institute on Addictions.
Tracy Fricano Chalmers has a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and Natural Science from the University at Buffalo, which they obtained between 1995 and 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Ithaca College, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, Tracy Chalmers holds a certification as an EMT-B, which they obtained from NYSDOH in March 2015.
