Jessica Ka Yi Chiu is an experienced Engineering Geologist currently employed at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) since August 2015, specializing in engineering geological assessments for infrastructure projects and developing 3D ground models. Prior experience includes a summer internship as an Assistant Geologist at Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat, where tasks involved the digitalization of debris slide polygons, and a role at AECOM Asia Company Limited focusing on natural terrain hazard studies and slope upgrading designs. Additional positions held include Engineering Geology Graduate at the Geotechnical Engineering Office within the Hong Kong SAR Government and a Student Research Assistant at The University of Hong Kong, contributing to landslide research. Jessica Ka Yi Chiu holds a Master of Science in Geosciences from the University of Oslo, a Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Earth Sciences from The University of Hong Kong.
