Benjamin Bellwald is a Senior Geoscientist at NGI - Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, specializing in offshore energy with an emphasis on offshore wind, carbon capture and storage (CCS), geohazards, and research and development since September 2022. In addition, Benjamin serves as a Guest Researcher at the University of Oslo and has held the position of Industrial PI at S2S-Future-ITN since April 2020. Benjamin's involvement in professional organizations includes being a Committee Member of the EAGE Special Interest Community on Decarbonization and Energy Transition since September 2019. Previously, Benjamin worked as a Project Manager at Volcanic Basin Petroleum Research AS, focusing on carbon capture and storage projects, and held roles at Durham University and the University of Bergen, contributing to EU Marie Curie projects. Benjamin's academic credentials comprise a PhD in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the University of Bergen, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Earth Sciences from ETH Zürich.
