Eddie Pate, Ph.D. is a published author and the Founder & Chief ID&E Officer of Eddie Pate Speaking & Consulting, specializing in inclusion, diversity, and equity. Since June 2020, Eddie has been leading this consulting firm while also serving as a Senior Partner at Nexus Search Partners starting January 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Director of Inclusion & Diversity at Amazon, where Eddie was responsible for initiatives within the World Wide Operations Group, and Vice President at Avanade. From September 2008 to August 2011, Eddie held the position of Principal at Pate Consulting & Associates, LLC, focusing on diversity and cultural competence. Previous roles include Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Starbucks and Director of Diversity at Microsoft. Eddie holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Washington and a master's in Sociology from Humboldt State University, complemented by a BS in Wildlife Management from the same institution.
