Ali Eshaghian Dorche is a highly skilled engineer currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Nexus Photonics, focusing on the development of heterogeneous III-V on SiN photonic integrated circuits (PICs). Prior experience includes a postdoctoral associate role at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where integration of III-V GaAs with CMOS-compatible photonics was a primary focus. Ali has a solid foundation in optical engineering, demonstrated through graduate research and teaching assistant roles at Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside internships at Nokia Bell Labs and Palo Alto Research Center, contributing to various innovative projects in silicon photonics and nonlinear optics. Academic credentials include a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Ali has filed three patents and has significant expertise in designing advanced photonic structures and systems.
