William Morrissey has a strong background in system engineering and infrastructure management. William started their career as a Systems Architecture at Mars in December 2012 before transitioning to a Unix Implementation role at Chicago Tribune Media Group in July 2013. In April 2014, William joined GoHealth as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they facilitated the migration of applications from bare metal servers to AWS and implemented various technologies such as Terraform, New Relic, and Splunk. William also contributed to CI/CD processes and created ansible playbooks. In October 2022, William joined Legacy.com as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, where they refactored and reduced tech debt and assisted in the migration of applications to ECS. William is currently working at Nexum, Inc. as a System Engineer.
William Morrissey received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they attended from 1992 to 1997. Following that, from 2004 to 2008, Morrissey attended Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, where they obtained their JD degree with a focus on Intellectual Property. In November 2009, Morrissey obtained their certification to practice law in the State of Illinois.
