Dr. Eric A. Canny is an experienced educator and consultant currently serving as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Education at the Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California, since September 2023. Dr. Canny has held significant roles in various organizations, including Director of Higher Education Partnerships at nextSource and Founding Director and Chief Innovation Officer at Global Risk Mitigation Foundation from April 2017 to April 2021. As a senior consultant, Dr. Canny has provided expertise in innovation, strategic planning, organizational culture, and diversity. Previous positions include Co-Founder of LAS VIRGINIAS ECGV and Gensis Films, Vice President of Program Management at CEA Study Abroad, and Dean of Global Education at Augsburg University. Dr. Canny holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California and advanced degrees from New York University.
