Jo Cooper

Group Head of Product at NextGen.Net

Jo Cooper has a diverse work experience in the field of design and customer service. Jo began their career as a UX Assistant Instructor at General Assembly in 2016. Jo then worked as a Lead Experience Designer at Massive Interactive, Inc., followed by a role as a Lead UX Consultant at Qantas. In 2017, Jo joined Commonwealth Bank, where they led Experience Design Initiatives until 2019. During this time, they also worked as a Lead Tutor at UNSW Business School and as an Instructor in Design Thinking at Academy Xi.

From 2019 to 2020, Jo worked at the NSW Department of Customer Service, leading Service Design projects. Jo then joined ELMO Software as a Design & Research practice lead until 2021. Most recently, in 2022, Jo joined NextGen as the Group Head of Product.

Jo Cooper's education history includes the following:

- In 1996, they started their Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business & Marketing at the University of Gloucestershire, which they completed in 2001.

- In 2013, they attended AdSchool (Communications Council) to study Strategic Planning for one year.

- In 2014, they participated in the Digital Masterclass (Executive Programs) at Hyper Island in New York.

- In 2016, they obtained a Certificate IV in Design from the International School of Colour and Design (ISCD).

- In 2017, they completed a Diploma in Colour Design from the International School for Colour and Design (ISCD).

- Jo Cooper also obtained additional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster®, CompTIA Project + Certified Project Manager, and a Diploma of Project Management from the Australian National Competency Standards for Project Management (NCSPM). Jo is also a member of the Association of Product Professionals and holds a Bronze Medallion certification from Surf Life Saving Australia. Additionally, they achieved a Certificate IV in Design - CUV40311.
