Senior Vice President, Clinical And Translational Development at NextCure

Udayan Guha, M.D.,Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Udayan is currently working at NextCure, Inc. as a Senior Vice President, responsible for Clinical and Translational Development. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Vice President at the same company.

Before joining NextCure, Inc., Dr. Guha worked at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH. During their tenure there, they served as a Senior Clinical Advisory Staff-Special Volunteer and also as an Investigator and Physician. In these roles, they focused on researching mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies and tumor heterogeneity, conducting laboratory research and proteomics studies in both pre-clinical models and patients from clinical studies.

Dr. Guha also worked as the VP and Head of Clinical Development at TCR² Therapeutics Inc., where they served as a study physician for clinical trials and provided guidance and collaboration on translational and IND-enabling studies. Udayan also developed clinical developmental strategies for tumor antigen-directed TRuC T cell therapies.

Furthermore, Dr. Guha gained experience at Bristol Myers Squibb as the Senior Director and Director of Early Clinical Development. In these roles, they served as the Clinical Lead, Study Director, and Medical Monitor for various clinical trials and played a key role in protocol development for first-in-human, first-in-class studies.

Dr. Guha started their career at MSKCC as an MD PhD.

Udayan Guha, M.D., Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Udayan completed their MBBS degree in Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences from 1990 to 1995. Udayan then pursued a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1998 to 2003. Following that, Dr. Guha completed an Oncology Fellowship in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2008 to 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Guha obtained the New York State Medical Licensure from the American Board of Internal Medicine in December 2009. Udayan also holds the title of Diplomat in both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty of Medical Oncology, although the specific years and months of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
