Joe Whelan is an experienced executive in strategic sales and brand partnerships, currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Sales at Next League since September 2024. Whelan is also an Advisory Board Member for the College of Arts and Sciences Media Industry Council at Fairfield University and has held the position of Co-Chairman at the Jaime Whelan Foundation since October 2007. Previous roles include Head of Sales & Brand Partnerships at DraftKings, where revenue generation for media and sponsorships was overseen, as well as Team Leader for NHL Media & Sponsorship Sales at Disney Streaming. Whelan's extensive background in sports marketing includes key positions at Major League Baseball, Octagon, GE Money, and Bank of America. Joe Whelan holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Fairfield University.
