Christopher Berg is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in local content development and political programming. Currently serving as Vice President of Local Content Development at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. since March 2014, Berg manages debate and political programming for 116 television markets and achieved notable success in 2022 by producing the highest-rated Pennsylvania Senate Debate in the company's history. Previous roles include Senior Director of Local Content Development, where Berg won a Network National Murrow Award for the Innovation-Border Report Tour, and Assistant News Director at WFAA-TV, overseeing daily news operations and special projects. Additional experience includes news director positions at KSTP-TV and KOB-TV, along with earlier roles as assignment editor and reporter. Berg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
