Previous roles at Nexstar include Senior Director and Director of Digital Content, where leadership encompassed regional audience management and cross-market content initiatives. Austin's background includes news director positions at KARK-KLRT and KTAB-KRBC, demonstrating success in managing substantial news teams and improving audience engagement. Prior experience includes producing at CBS News and serving as Executive Producer at Nexstar Broadcasting Group. Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, Video and Film from the University of North Texas and has been involved in the Carole Kneeland Project since 2011.
