Stephen P. Groves, Sr. is a highly experienced attorney currently serving as a Partner at Butler Snow LLP since April 2019. Prior to this role, Stephen held various positions at Nexsen Pruet, LLC, starting as Special Counsel in April 2003 and becoming a Member in January 2008. Stephen has been a member of the Charleston County Bar since December 1986 and previously worked at Young Clement Rivers from August 1986 to April 2003, where Stephen progressed from Associate to Partner. Stephen's legal expertise encompasses general civil litigation, appellate litigation, and insurance coverage litigation. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Charleston.
