João Cardoso has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering field. João started their career as a student at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto in 2011. In 2010, they completed an internship at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, where they worked with C# and the XNA framework. In 2016, they joined Veniam as a Backend Software Engineer (Cloud) and Software Engineer Intern. Most recently, in 2022, they began working at Nexar Inc. as a Backend Software Engineer.

João Cardoso obtained a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 2016. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Programming GPUs with CUDA from Manuel Ujaldon, NVIDIA CUDA Fellow, João M.P. Cardoso, CSE-2015 and EUC-2015 General Co-Chair. In 2009, they obtained a CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) from the University of Cambridge.
