S Mitchell Pinkowski serves as Honors Faculty in the Department of English at Merrimack College, where responsibilities include designing and implementing an Academic College Writing curriculum for freshmen and sophomore students. At NewU University, Pinkowski holds the title of Professor of Rhetoric: The Art of Persuasion and has been elected to the Board of Trustees for academic counsel from 2023 to 2026. As Academic Director of the Great Books Summer Program since 2016, Pinkowski's previous roles include various teaching and leadership positions at Episcopal High School and Pomfret School, where tenure as English Department Chair was notable. Earlier experience includes teaching English as a Second Language at the AEON Institute and serving as a Production Stage Manager for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John's College and a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in English Language and Literature from Emory University.
