Mel Ewell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and advisory roles across various sectors. Currently serving as an Advisor at Newton Europe since June 2021, Mel also holds positions as Vice Chairman of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and Chairman of London City Airport, both established in March 2017. Previous roles include being a Board Trustee at MOLA from July 2020 to May 2023, Chairman of the Manufacturing Technology Centre from September 2016 to May 2023, and Non Executive Director at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd until April 2023. Earlier in the career, Mel was Senior Independent Director at SIG plc from August 2011 to August 2018 and Chief Executive Officer at Amey until retirement in March 2016. With management experience as Managing Director at both ADI Group and TNT International - UK & Ireland, Mel Ewell's educational background includes a BSc Hons in Geography from Kingston University and an honorary degree awarded in 2017.
