Sigrun Rottmann

Sigrun Rottmann is a Contributing Editor for NewsGuard, based in Germany. Rottmann has been working as a freelance journalist and as a part-time lecturer at the Institute of Journalism at Technical University Dortmund, where she heads the Print Lab and teaches Conflict Sensitive Journalism. Between 2004 and 2011, she worked as a producer for the BBC World Service in London, and was a correspondent for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean for German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau. Rottmann has also conducted journalism training in South Sudan, Egypt, Kenya, and Bangladesh.

Rottmann holds an M.A. in political science, English and German studies from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, as well as a graduate diploma in International Journalism from City University in London.
