Tyson Cowley is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in geological sciences and mining applications. Currently serving as a Sr. Mining Application Specialist and formerly as a Production and Planning Geologist at Newmont Corporation since September 2016, Tyson has a strong background that includes roles such as Implementation Manager at Goldcorp, where coordination of Deswik software implementation and training was key. Previous positions encompass geological and core technician roles at various organizations, including Bralorne Gold Mines Ltd., Golden Band Resources, and Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. Tyson's academic foundation is rooted in a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geological Sciences from Queen's University, complemented by teaching assistance in field methods courses.
