Ronel Kappes is an accomplished professional in the field of metallurgical engineering with extensive experience at Newmont Corporation since June 2003, currently serving as Director of Processing. Responsibilities include overseeing process innovations for various projects across North America, South America, and West Africa, as well as providing metallurgical consulting at the Malozemoff Technical Facility. Previous roles at Newmont include Director of Metallurgical Services, Senior Technical Advisor in flotation, and Metallurgy Manager, where Ronel managed numerous teams and led significant processes related to metallurgical test work and operational support. Additionally, Ronel serves as a member of the Board of Directors for AMIRA International Ltd., contributing to collaborative research projects within the mining sector.
