David Seaman is an experienced metallurgy professional currently serving as Manager Metallurgy - Technology & Innovation at Newmont Corporation since November 2023. Prior to this role, David held multiple positions at Newcrest Mining from April 2010 to November 2023, including Manager Directional Studies & Innovation and Principal Metallurgist Technology and Innovation. David's earlier career includes being Principal Engineer & Site Manager at BHP Billiton from January 2005 to May 2010, where oversight of research facilities in Perth and involvement in nickel flotation optimization were key responsibilities. David also worked as a PhD researcher at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre from 2001 to 2004. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Flotation from The University of Queensland and multiple degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
