Anamaria Dolores Rios Pando is a seasoned professional in the field of geotechnical engineering, currently serving as the Geotechnical Superintendent for Tailings/Water Dams and Leach Pads at Newmont Corporation since December 2022, while also holding the position of Responsible Tailing Facilities Engineer at Newmont Peru S.R.L. since September 2020. With over a decade of experience at Minera Yanacocha in various geotechnical roles, Anamaria has a robust background in geotechnics, complemented by advanced education including a Master's degree in Geotechnics and Applied Geomechanics from Cámara Minera del Perú and ongoing studies in Mining Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Piura. Anamaria holds degrees in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca and Universidad Privada del Norte, respectively.
