Emanuele Fontani is an accomplished executive with extensive expertise in operations and project management within the nuclear and industrial sectors. Currently serving as Executive Director at newcleo since 2024, Emanuele previously held key leadership roles at Sogin from 2017 to 2024, where significant accomplishments included overseeing a 10% CAGR in production value during the COVID-19 pandemic and leading a public consultation to develop a proposal for a national radioactive waste repository. Emanuele's career also includes positions such as Chief Executive Officer at Nucleco SpA and Deputy Director of Decommissioning at Sogin, complemented by a strong educational background with an MBA from SDA Bocconi and a PhD in Nuclear and Industrial Safety from Università di Pisa.
