Michelle Deeter is a seasoned professional in translation and interpreting, specializing in Chinese-English language services. Since June 2007, Michelle has been self-employed as a freelance translator and interpreter, focusing on government and environmental issues, as well as court interpreting and public service events. Michelle has held a lecturer position at Newcastle University since February 2018 and serves as a Chinese-English translator for the European Commission, contributing extensively to a multilingual database and teaching courses on Mandarin and Chinese culture. Additional experience includes engagements as a guest speaker on translation processes and teaching Mandarin at Harrogate Ladies' College. Michelle's educational background includes an MA in Translation and Interpretation from Newcastle University and a BA in International Relations from Carleton College.
