Robin Hartley

Senior Scientist, Autonomous Systems at New Zealand Forest Research Institute Limited

Robin Hartley is an experienced professional in the fields of forestry and autonomous systems, currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Autonomous Systems at Scion since January 2018. Hartley has held various roles, including Geospatial Scientist and Assistant Research Leader in Geomatics and UAV Operations, showcasing expertise in UAV management and geospatial analysis. Previous experience includes positions as a Forester and Arborist at Ash and Oak Arborists, UAV Services Team Leader at Interpine Innovation, and Company Director of Robin Hartley Forestry and Countryside Management Services. Hartley has also contributed as Deputy Marine Biologist at Tobago Cays Marine Park. Currently pursuing a Master of Forestry Science at the University of Canterbury, Hartley's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of the West of England.
