Virgil C. is an experienced professional with a strong background in risk management and investigations. Currently serving as the Founder of Adaptive Risk Strategies since 2019, Virgil C. leads a firm that offers consultative services to mitigate risks across various sectors including private, academic, and nonprofit. In addition, Virgil C. is a Manager for the Insider Threat Program at Santander US, where responsibilities include leading insider threat investigations and promoting risk reduction strategies. Prior to these roles, Virgil C. worked for 25 years at the United States Department of Defense as a Human Risk Management practitioner within Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence, and also served in operations with the United States Air Force. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland, an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College, and further studies at SANS Technology Institute and UC Berkeley School of Information.
