Nicholas Lord is a Development Writer at the New York Philharmonic, responsible for creating fundraising language and donor communications for the prestigious cultural institution since April 2023. With a diverse freelance writing career beginning in 2011, Nicholas covers a wide range of topics including arts news and personal essays. Previous roles include Corporate Relations Manager and Grant Writer at Roundabout Theatre Company, where oversight of corporate partnerships and fundraising strategies was key, and Institutional Giving Manager at OPERA America, focusing on grant writing and institutional fundraising. Nicholas has also contributed as a copywriter for Joonbug.com and gained publishing experience as an intern at Guernica Magazine. Nicholas holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School and a BA in English Language and Literature from The University of Western Australia.
