Peter DeCandia has extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting, currently serving as CVP of Corporate Controllers Financial Reporting, Statutory and Pension Accounting and Reporting, and Derivative Accounting and Reporting at New York Life Insurance Company since September 2012. Prior to this role, Peter held the position of Director at Prudential Financial from February 1997 to September 2012, overseeing accounting policy, derivative and foreign exchange reporting, and investment reporting among other responsibilities. Peter began their career as a Senior Accountant at American International Group from April 1993 to February 1997, focusing on GAAP and statutory accounting within the Corporate Controllers and Treasury departments.
