John Taylor is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in procurement and benefits management. Currently serving as Vice President of Procurement at New York Life Insurance Company since October 2016, John has played a key role in transforming the global sourcing function into a strategic business partner through effective leadership, strategic planning, and rigorous process improvement. Previous roles include Global Category Director at Citi, where John led multiple enterprise initiatives and managed a large team focused on procurement for corporate functions. John has also held notable positions at The Hanover Insurance Group, Symbol Technologies, MassMutual, Amphenol Corporation, Aetna, and served as a Naval Aviator in the US Navy. Education includes a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and dual bachelor’s degrees in Microbiology and Biology from the University of Rochester.
