Chris Rooney is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Senior Communications and Content Specialist at NYISO since July 2023. Prior to this role, Chris spent nearly three decades at WNYT, an NBC affiliate in Albany, NY, where responsibilities included managing digital content, overseeing the website and social media platforms, editing video, and producing newscasts. Chris began the career at WNYT as an Associate Producer, gradually progressing through various roles, including Editor and Producer. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, earned from 1990 to 1994.
