Dr. Louis Hernandez

Per Diem Facilitator On Call at NYC Outward Bound Schools

Dr. Louis Hernandez currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hunter College since January 2010, specializing in the foundations of family therapy and previously coordinating the School Counseling Program. Alongside academic roles, Louis has extensive experience in various counseling positions, including as a Professional School Counselor at Ella Baker School and a Bilingual Guidance Counselor at JHS 117, where counseling services were provided to diverse student populations. In addition to educational roles, Louis has facilitated teambuilding events for New York City Outward Bound and led self-contained bicycle tours with the Adventure Cycling Association. Educational credentials include an Ed.D. from Fordham University and multiple degrees from other institutions, focusing on Counseling and Puerto Rican Studies.
