Justin Jamail serves as the General Counsel at the New York Botanical Garden since November 2018. Prior to this role, Justin Jamail held positions as Deputy General Counsel and Associate General Counsel at the Metropolitan Opera from June 2015 to December 2018. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP from October 2009 to May 2015, focusing on significant cross-border corporate transactions, with notable matters related to SoftBank’s investments in Alibaba Group Holding and various media and technology companies. Additional roles include contributions to Brooklyn Legal Services Corp. A, assisting in the Mortgage Fraud Unit, and serving as a Literary Assistant for authors Paul Auster and Siri Hustvedt. Justin Jamail earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, along with other educational pursuits in creative writing and labor relations.
