William Powers

Board Member at New World Angels

William Powers has extensive experience in engineering and consulting, currently serving as an investor at New World Angels since March 2011 and as a consultant at Modern Systems Analysis since January 2001. Previously, William held the position of Vice President of Research at Ford Motor Company from December 1979 to December 2000, focusing on automotive, energy, and control systems. Additionally, William was a professor of Aerospace Engineering and Computer, Information and Control Engineering at the University of Michigan from March 1968 to December 1980, and worked as an aerospace engineer at NASA from January 1960 to March 1968. William Powers earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida.
