Josephine Moerschel is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in the musical field. As the Executive and Artistic Director at Elemental Music since 2009, Josephine oversees artistic programming and operations. Concurrently, Josephine holds positions as a Section Viola member with New West Symphony and a Substitute Viola player with Pacific Symphony since 2007 and 2004, respectively. Josephine served as Adjunct Viola Faculty at Bob Cole Conservatory of Music from 2010 to June 2017 and co-directed ViolaFest Los Angeles from 2009 to 2010, where responsibilities included event planning, website and brochure design, and coordinating teaching artists. Josephine holds a Masters of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
