Yoon Namshik is an experienced Earth Science Teacher currently employed at New Visions for Public Schools since August 2019. Prior to this role, Yoon Namshik served as the Chief of Operations for the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, retiring in February 2017 after more than three decades of service. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching focused on Earth Science Teacher Education from the Richard Gilder Graduate School at the American Museum of Natural History, as well as a degree in Geology from Queens College and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from St. John's University.
