Jalel Sager is an experienced educator, researcher, and entrepreneur specializing in energy and economic transition. They served as a Visiting Scholar, Research Associate WoS, Lecturer, and Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, where they focused on ecological economics, decentralized energy systems, and coordinated projects on clean energy strategies in the Mekong region. Sager co-founded New Sun Road, P.B.C., where they held roles as Chair and CEO, and currently directs CAL-RAE, an interdisciplinary research group at Berkeley. Presently, Sager is an Assistant Professor in Energy Systems Management at the University of San Francisco.
