Dave Frantz, the owner of Frantz Grinding Co., has served on the New Philadelphia City School’s Board of Education for 12 years. Mr. Frantz formerly served as the 2018 Board President and as a Buckeye Career Center Board member. Currently, he serves on the New Philadelphia Park Board, New Philadelphia Cemetery Board, Tuscarawas County Soap Box Derby Association, is a Quaker Foundation Scholarship Sponsor, an Akron Children's Hospital parent mentor, and a Federal/State Advocate for National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions.

Dave is described by Superintendent Mr. David Brand as “an experienced leader who is compassionate and student-centered. His commitment to students with disabilities has made the New Philadelphia City School District one of the model schools in the region. We are lucky to have such a committed servant-leader advocating for our schools.”
