Malon Thompson, CFE, CIGA, currently serves as the Manager of Audit Compliance at the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority since October 2022, focusing on performance auditing and risk assessment. Previously, Malon held the position of Forensic Auditor at the Jefferson Parish Office of Inspector General, conducting financial analyses to detect fraud and ensure compliance with regulations. Experience includes serving as an Auditor Assistant for the City of New Orleans, Night Auditor Supervisor at St Charles Coach House Hotel, Accountant for Lapalco Motors & Shell Gas, and Desk Assistant/Accounting Clerk at Loyola University New Orleans. Malon possesses a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Management from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master of Science in Accounting from Grand Canyon University.
