Jody Watkins is a dedicated library professional with extensive experience in various roles within library and research settings. Currently serving as Library Associate II at the New Orleans Public Library since September 2022, Jody has also volunteered at the Amistad Research Center focusing on subject analysis and metadata. Prior experience includes managing a research lab at MedPharmics and holding the position of Senior Ophthalmic Research Associate and Photographer at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where responsibilities included managing an imaging center. Earlier roles include Studio Manager and Etched Glass Specialist at Pearl River Glass Studio Inc. Jody holds a Bachelor of Science in Library and Information Science from The University of Southern Mississippi and is pursuing Master’s degrees in Library and Information Science at both Louisiana State University and The University of Southern Mississippi.
