Shannon Pulusan

Special Assistant To The Vice President Of Arts Education at New Jersey Performing Arts Center Corporation

Shannon Pulusan has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Shannon currently works as a Special Assistant to the Vice President of Arts Education at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, where they manage the VP's complex calendar and oversees various projects. Prior to this, Shannon worked as an Editorial Assistant and Submission Reader at Flock Magazine, where they critiqued and reviewed poetry submissions and assisted in content curation. Shannon also worked as a Teaching Artist (Poetry) at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and as a Web Copy Writer at Rutgers University - Newark.

Shannon's experience also includes working as a Native English Teacher in Korea through the EPIK program, an ESL Instructor at the Jacksonville Public Library, and an ESL Tutor at the Women's Center of Jacksonville. Shannon has also worked in various roles at UNF Spinnaker, including Archivist, Contributing Writer, Publisher, Copy Chief, and Copy Editor. Additionally, Shannon has worked as an Editorial Intern at the Center for Art and Thought and Beson4 Media Group. Throughout their career, Shannon has demonstrated strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and a passion for the arts.

Shannon Pulusan began their education in 2011 at Arcadia University, where they studied Fine and Studio Arts for a year. Shannon then transferred to the University of North Florida, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing from 2012 to 2015. After completing their undergraduate studies, Shannon enrolled at Rutgers University - Newark and obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from 2020 to 2022. In 2016, Shannon also obtained a TEFL certification from the CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange.
