Atam Dhawan is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with extensive experience in various roles at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, including Senior Vice Provost for Research, Executive Director of the Center for Translational Research, and Distinguished Professor. Currently, Atam serves as a National Academy of Inventors Invention Ambassador and is a member of the NAI Board of Directors. With a focus on promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and translating research into societal applications, Atam has held significant positions in professional organizations such as chairing the Independent Expert Board for the NIH POCTRN and serving as the Founding Editor-In-Chief of the IEEE Journal of Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
