Lauren MacDonald is an experienced education professional currently serving as a School Library Media Specialist at New Hartford Central Schools since September 2018. Prior to this role, Lauren held the position of Interim Director at Cannon Free Library and worked as a Substitute Teacher at Oneida City School District. Lauren also completed student teaching placements in 3rd and 5th grades, focusing on co-taught classrooms and Social Studies curriculum. In the field of publishing, Lauren was a Publicist for Regnery Publishing, where campaigns included New York Times Bestsellers, and held roles in communications training and publicity at The Leadership Institute and Regnery Publishing. Lauren holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY Cortland, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and French Language and Literature from Hillsdale College.
